Raimondo Vianello (Roma, 7 maggio 1922 – Milano, 15 aprile 2010) è stato un attore, conduttore televisivo e sceneggiatore italiano.

Durante la sua carriera, iniziata alla fine degli anni quaranta, ha lavorato a lungo per il cinema come attore comico e sceneggiatore, per poi divenire un conduttore televisivo di noti varietà, dapprima in Rai (Un due tre, Tante scuse) e in seguito in Mediaset (Attenti a noi due), per poi cimentarsi nella conduzione di quiz televisivi (Zig Zag) e programmi sportivi (Pressing).

È per questo considerato uno dei padri fondatori della televisione in Italia, insieme a Mike Bongiorno e Corrado^.

Particolarmente prolifici sono stati i sodalizi artistici prima con Ugo Tognazzi, con il quale negli anni cinquanta ha girato diversi film e condotto il varietà Un due tre, e in seguito con la moglie Sandra Mondaini, con la quale dagli anni sessanta in poi ha realizzato molti varietà e diversi film, oltre alla nota sitcom Casa Vianello, andata in onda per circa vent’anni.

Biografia

Raimondo era il quarto figlio di Guido Vianello, proveniente da una famiglia veneta con tradizioni marinare originaria di Pellestrina, e di Virginia Margherita Maria dei marchesi Accorretti, di antica famiglia nobile maceratese; nonché cugino del poeta futurista veneto Alberto Vianello e cugino del cantante Edoardo Vianello.

Nato a Roma, trascorse i primi cinque anni d’infanzia a Pola, dove si era trasferito il padre, ammiraglio della Regia Marina preposto al comando della famosa accademia navale già austro-ungarica, e poi a Trieste, durante la Seconda guerra mondiale, e in Dalmazia, sempre per motivi di servizio del padre.

Successivamente Raimondo si iscrisse alla facoltà di giurisprudenza a Roma, dove conseguì la laurea senza peraltro mai esercitare alcuna professione forense. A seguito della sua adesione alla Repubblica Sociale Italiana come sottufficiale dei bersaglieri, nel 1945 venne detenuto dagli Alleati nel campo di Coltano assieme ad altri personaggi poi diventati famosi in vari campi (gli attori Enrico Maria Salerno e Walter Chiari, il giornalista Enrico Ameri e il politico Mirko Tremaglia).

Poco dopo la fine della seconda guerra mondiale, insieme al fratello Roberto, fu atleta e dirigente del Centro Nazionale Sportivo Fiamma, ma aveva anche la passione per il calcio giocato: venne cercato infatti anche dal Palermo, che nel 1946 militava in Serie B e che gli avrebbe offerto 30.000 lire al mese, ma egli rifiutò l’offerta poiché aveva altre ambizioni. Si limitò quindi a giocare in Terza Categoria nella SaMo, squadra di cui era Presidente che portava le iniziali della sua futura moglie, Sandra Mondaini.

Gli esordi ed il suo successo

Partecipò alla rivista Cantachiaro n°2 di Garinei e Giovannini, in cui ebbe grande successo. Negli anni cinquanta dopo il teatro di rivista, passò al cinema come caratterista accanto ad attori quali Totò, Franco e Ciccio, Virna Lisi e l’amico Ugo Tognazzi. Lavorò contemporaneamente anche a teatro.

Il grande successo giunse in televisione nel programma Un due tre assieme a Ugo Tognazzi, che conobbe qualche anno prima (nel 1951) e con il quale cominciò un sodalizio artistico che durò per tutto il decennio.  Questa avvenne durante la puntata del 25 giugno 1959, quando il duo Tognazzi-Vianello decise di mettere in burla un incidente occorso la sera prima alla Scala e taciuto dai principali mezzi di stampa: il Capo dello Stato italiano Giovanni Gronchi, a causa del tentativo di un gesto galante con una signora, cadde a terra per la sottrazione della sedia accanto al presidente della Repubblica Francese De Gaulle. Il duo ripeté la scena in televisione: Raimondo Vianello tolse la sedia a Tognazzi che cadde a terra e Vianello gli gridò: “Chi ti credi di essere?”.

La comicità più popolaresca e sanguigna di Ugo e quella più raffinata e “inglese” di Raimondo si compenetravano a vicenda con ottimi risultati comici che ottennero grande successo di pubblico. Nel 1958 conobbe Sandra Mondaini, figlia del pittore Giacinto Mondaini, con la quale lavorò in teatro con Sayonara Butterfly, parodia dell’opera di Puccini. Nel 1960 per il cinema girò Le olimpiadi dei mariti con Sandra Mondaini ed Ugo Tognazzi. Nella stessa stagione Vianello e Mondaini presentarono una rivista molto tradizionale, Un juke box per Dracula, ricca di satira politica e sociale. Il 28 maggio 1962 si sposò con Sandra, con la quale ha lavorato in coppia per quasi cinquant’anni^.

Nel 1982, sempre insieme a Sandra, fu tra i primi artisti di grande popolarità a lasciare la Rai per approdare sul neonato network televisivo privato della Fininvest, con lo show Attenti a noi due, in onda su Canale 5  e Sandra e Raimondo Show del 1987.

Da solo, sempre su Canale 5, ha presentato i quiz Zig Zag (1983-1986),  Il gioco dei 9 (1988-1990). A dieci anni dalla nascita della televisione commerciale, nel 1990 la coppia Vianello-Mondaini venne chiamata a condurre una puntata del varietà Buon compleanno Canale 5 con Heather Parisi, presenza fissa del programma; insieme a Mike Bongiorno, Corrado e Marco Columbro, l’11 gennaio 1991 tornarono a presentare la puntata finale della trasmissione.

Dal 1988 al 2007 Sandra e Raimondo divennero i protagonisti di Casa Vianello, la sit-com più famosa e longeva prodotta dalla televisione italiana: vennero infatti realizzate 16 stagioni per un totale di 338 episodi mantenendo negli anni l’impianto classico del programma, che era alla base del grande e costante successo. Assieme alla coppia Mondaini-Vianello vi era anche l’attrice Giorgia Trasselli nei panni della tata. Tra il 1996 e il 1997 la serie si trasferì in campagna, con cinque film per la TV intitolati Cascina Vianello e altri cinque dal titolo I misteri di Cascina Vianello: in questi ultimi la coppia si cimentò in un’insolita attività di investigazione per scoprire gli autori di delitti o furti, ma sempre in chiave umoristica.

Raimondo Vianello muore a 87 anni, il 15 aprile 2010 presso l’ospedale San Raffaele di Milano, dopo 11 giorni di ricovero a causa di un blocco renale (dal 1972 viveva con un solo rene), precedendo di cinque mesi la moglie Sandra.

Sandra Mondaini, all’anagrafe Alessandrina Mondaini, (Milano, 1º settembre 1931 – Milano, 21 settembre 2010), è stata un’attrice, conduttrice televisiva e cantante italiana.

Prevalentemente attrice comica, la sua carriera artistica sessantennale è stata strettamente legata a quella del marito, Raimondo Vianello, col quale ha formato una delle coppie più celebri e amate della televisione italiana, realizzando dagli anni sessanta in poi molti varietà televisivi e radiofonici e diversi film e telefilm, fra cui la nota sitcom Casa Vianello, andata in onda per circa vent’anni.

Biografia

Originaria di Lambrate, era figlia di Giuseppina Lombardini e di Giacinto Mondaini, pittore e umorista della rivista satirica Il Bertoldo, il quale all’età di sei mesi la utilizzò come piccola modella per una campagna contro la tubercolosi e poi di nuovo a due anni, quando la fece comparire su francobolli e manifesti murali. Frequentó la scuola Leonardo da Vinci. Verso la metà degli anni quaranta, dovendo aiutare la famiglia in difficoltà economiche, Sandra cominciò a lavorare come modella per il settimanale femminile Mani di fata, poi per il noto fotografo Elio Luxardo e per Borsalino, la famosa casa di cappelli.

Dopo apparizioni nel mondo del cinema, alla radio ma principalmente il suo posto è sulla televisione, dove Sandra presenta e partecipa a parecchie trasmissioni. Ma, la svolta professionale arriva intorno agli tra gli anni 80-90, perché arriva la televisione commerciale.

A dieci anni dalla nascita della televisione commerciale, nel 1990 la coppia Vianello-Mondaini viene chiamata a condurre una puntata del varietà Buon compleanno Canale 5 con Heather Parisi, presenza fissa del programma; insieme a Mike Bongiorno, Corrado e Marco Columbro, l’11 gennaio 1991 tornano a presentare la puntata finale della trasmissione.

Dal 1991 al 1993, Sandra porta in scena per l’ultima volta il pagliaccio Sbirulino, affiancando Marco Columbro e Lorella Cuccarini nella conduzione di Buona domenica, uno dei primi programmi in diretta della televisione commerciale italiana.

Dal 1988 al 2007 Sandra e Raimondo sono i protagonisti di Casa Vianello, la sit-com più famosa e longeva prodotta dalla televisione italiana: vengono infatti realizzate 16 stagioni per un totale di 338 episodi mantenendo negli anni l’impianto classico del programma, che ne ha reso il grande e costante successo. Tra il 1996 e il 1997 la serie si è trasferita in campagna, con cinque film per la TV intitolati Cascina Vianello. Nella primavera 1995, Sandra e Raimondo partecipano anche a La grande avventura, programma condotto da Marco Columbro e Lorella Cuccarini su Canale 5, dove venivano celebrati i 15 anni di vita dell’allora Fininvest, attraverso i racconti dei volti più noti dell’azienda.

A metà degli anni novanta partecipa come doppiatrice d’eccezione alla famosa serie animata americana I Simpson nell’episodio La rivale di Lisa dando la voce ad Allison Taylor (nella versione originale doppiata da Winona Ryder).

Nel febbraio 1998 in coppia con Fabrizio Frizzi, Sandra conduce dal palco dell’Ariston di Sanremo una puntata speciale di Domenica in seguendo la serata finale del Festival presentato quell’anno da Raimondo Vianello. A giugno dello stesso anno conduce con Enrico Papi il programma Sapore d’estate.

Sandra Mondaini muore il 21 settembre 2010, cinque mesi dopo la morte del marito, presso l’Ospedale San Raffaele di Milano, dopo dieci giorni di ricovero per insufficienza respiratoria. La camera ardente viene allestita presso lo studio 4 di Mediaset a Cologno Monzese, lo stesso dove per più di dieci anni i coniugi Vianello avevano registrato gli episodi della sit-com Casa Vianello. Il funerale si svolge il seguente 23 settembre presso la chiesa di Dio Padre a Milano 2 alla presenza della famiglia di filippini che l’ha assistita e che Sandra ha amato come figli, designandoli eredi, e di molti personaggi dello spettacolo e della politica.

Successivamente, seguendo le sue volontà testamentarie, viene tumulata non a Roma al Cimitero del Verano vicino al marito Raimondo, ma a Milano nel Cimitero di Lambrate, accanto ai suoi genitori.

Raimondo Vianello (Rome, May 7, 1922 – Milan, April 15, 2010) was an Italian actor, TV presenter and screenwriter.
During his career, which began at the end of the forties, he worked for a long time for the cinema as a comic actor and screenwriter, and then became a television host of well-known varieties, first in Rai (Un due tre, Tante excuse) and later in Mediaset (Beware of us two), and then try their hand at conducting television quizzes (Zig Zag) and sports programs (Pressing).
He is therefore considered one of the founding fathers of television in Italy, together with Mike Bongiorno and Corrado.

Biography

Raimondo was the fourth son of Guido Vianello, coming from a Venetian family with maritime traditions originally from Pellestrina, and of Virginia Margherita Maria of the Accorretti marquises, from an ancient noble family from Macerata; as well as cousin of the Venetian futurist poet Alberto Vianello and cousin of the singer Edoardo Vianello.
Born in Rome, he spent the first five years of his childhood in Pola, where his father, admiral of the Royal Navy in charge of command of the famous naval academy already Austro-Hungarian, and then in Trieste, during the Second World War, had moved. in Dalmatia, again for reasons of the father’s service.
Raimondo subsequently enrolled in the faculty of law in Rome, where he graduated without ever practicing any legal profession. The beginnings

In 1958 he met Sandra Mondaini, daughter of the painter Giacinto Mondaini, with whom he worked in the theater with Sayonara Butterfly, a parody of Puccini’s opera. In 1960 he filmed Le olimpiadi dei husiti for the cinema with Sandra Mondaini and Ugo Tognazzi. In the same season Vianello and Mondaini presented a very traditional magazine, Un juke box per Dracula, full of political and social satire. On May 28, 1962 he married Sandra, with whom he worked as a couple for almost fifty years.
In 1982, always together with Sandra, he was among the first very popular artists to leave Rai to land on the newborn private television network of Fininvest, with the show Attenti a noi due, broadcast on Canale 5 and Sandra e Raimondo Show in 1987 .

Alone, again on Canale 5, he presented the quizzes Zig Zag (1983-1986), Il Gioco dei 9 (1988-1990). The funeral home is set up at Mediaset studio 4 in Cologno Monzese, the same where the Vianello couple had recorded episodes of the sit-com Casa Vianello for more than ten years. The funeral takes place on the following 23 September at the church of God the Father in Milan 2 in the presence of the Filipino family who attended her and whom Sandra loved as children, designating them heirs, and of many celebrities and politicians.
Subsequently, following her will, she is buried not in Rome at the Verano Cemetery near her husband Raimondo, but in Milan in the Lambrate Cemetery, next to her parents.
